TONIGHT and this Weekend – Friday, September 3rd 2010

After a week off, we’ve decided to give you an enhanced look at Los Angeles this weekend.  I mean, who goes out on Friday only?  Saturday and Sunday, we’ve got love for you too–especially with this nice Labor Day weekend.  Click the image above each featured event for more info.  If you’d like to check out some other happenings, be sure to stop by the LAWeekly Events Calendar.

FYF Fest @ Los Angeles State Historic Park

The all-ages music festival returns to LA this Saturday chalk full of talent.  Featuring bands like Abe Vagoda, Best Coast, The Rapture, and Unbroken, there’s something for everyone at this year’s fest.  Did I mention that there would be plenty of food trucks around too?  Hell, that might be worth the price of admission alone–except for the fact that they’ll cost additional… Hmmm… Shoot… But still!  Tickets are $30 at the gate. FYF Fest kicks off this Saturday at noon.

LA County Fair @ The Pomona Fairplex

Going to at least one county or state fair during the Summer should be a requirement for every US citizen.  I swear this country would be much better situated if everyone ate one battered and fried stick of butter annually.  I mean, it’s really hard to complain about the state of the economy while your mouth is full of fried Oreos…trust me, I know.  Starting this Saturday (and running until Oct. 3rd) experience the greatest food, exhibits, and music at the LA County fair in Pomona.  Tickets run $17, but only $12 on weekdays. The festivities start this Saturday at 10am.

Los Angeles Times Celebration of Food & Wine @ Paramount Studios

Foodie’s are multiplying faster than Hipster’s nowadays in Los Angeles (who’d of thunk it?).   Where would you find all of them this weekend?   At the LA Times Celebration of Food & Wine, of course; an all day event this Sunday featuring tasting sessions, chef demonstrations, beer, wine and spirits tastings, and much more.  At the end of the day, She & Him will take the stage for a special concert.  Sounds like a filling way to spend your Sunday.  Tickets are $55 pre-sale and $65 at the door. The fun starts this Sunday at noon.
